Brilliantly colored leaves, crisp air, and an amazing blue sky are all signs that fall is in the air. The first twelve weeks of school have flown by, and I am astounded that it is November already! As is tradition, November is the time of year in which we pause to reflect on people and events in which we are thankful. I want to take this opportunity to tell you that I am so thankful for each and every Rocky Mount family and all of our staff members. You continue to enrich my life in ways that I could never have imagined. Thank you!
I also want to thank all of you that visited Rocky Mount for our fall conferences. The time spent talking about your child and maintaining the partnership between home and school is essential to ensuring your student’s success. We look forward to working together with you to help your child reach their individual potential. Please remember that anytime you feel the need to meet with your child’s teacher, just send a note or call the teacher to schedule an appointment.
Additionally, I want to thank our fabulous PTA volunteers that coordinated several very important events this past month. Thank you SANDI TOMPKINS for helping out at the East Cobber Parade AND the Lassiter Homecoming Parade : ) Thank you HEATHER BABISH for all that you did to make our Reflections Program so successful : ) Thank you JUDY HESTER and DEBBIE PARK for coordinating and planning our 5th grade events for the year : ) Thank you LINDSAY STEWART and MAUREEN TEDESCO for organizing and distributing all of our Fall Fundraiser products : ) Thank you JOAN PARSONS for our first Dad’s Breakfast of the year : ) Thank you KIM MIZELL for our Red Ribbon Week activities : ) Thank you CATRINA TENHOUSE for coordinating our Book Fair volunteers : )
