Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! The Fall Festival was everything and MORE than expected. The amount of time, energy and planning that took place prior to the big night made this a spectacular event. Thank you to everyone for helping out in this combined effort. A big THANK YOU also goes to the Fall Festival Committee chair – Sean Martin! It was a fabulous night for our Rocky Mount community!
Looking forward, Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held October 15th – October 22nd. This is an exciting time for our teachers to share with you the successes that your child is having at school this year and how we can provide even more opportunities for success for the remainder of the school year. We hope you can all attend the conference.
The Lassiter Homecoming parade will be on October 15th. This year Rocky Mount Elementary will have a FLOAT to honor our Teacher of the Year, Classified Employee of the Year and CCSD PE Teacher of the Year! Everyone loves a parade and we hope to have a big turn out from our community.
Also, if you have been in the building since fall break you probably have noticed that our lights are very different. SPLOST III included a “lighting retrofit” for Rocky Mount which included changing all of the lights in and around our building. The majority of the work has been completed and the difference is noticeable!
Thank you again for being such a supportive community! It is such an honor to work in such a positive environment.
