Oh my goodness!!! The halls of Rocky Mount Elementary are alive with...baby chicks!!! The second grade science curriculum contains several Georgia Performance Standards associated with life cycles of animals. The second grade teachers know that the best way to understand this concept is to actually experience the process. So, our second graders have watched tadpoles grow into frogs, butterflies emerge from their chrysalis and now we have successfully hatched baby chicks! The next step for our baby chicks will be a wonderful life on an urban farm in Atlanta.
What an exciting adventure this has been for all of our students!
