CONGRATULATIONS to our Rocky Mount staff and students!!!! Rocky Mount Elementary has been recognized by the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement for our performance on the 2009 CRCT. Rocky Mount won the Silver Award for outstanding student achievement during the 2009 school year.
The competition for the silver award in highest performance category requires schools meet certain criteria:
Demonstrate that at least 96% of students meet or exceed standards as measured by the state assessments (CRCT)
Demonstrate that at least 25% of students exceed standards in all test areas as measured by state assessments
