Welcome to 2010! Isn’t it amazing to think that we are beginning the second half of our school year already? It truly was wonderful to see our students return to school on Tuesday. I also wanted to take this opportunity to thank you for the wonderful support you gave to the Thanks for Giving campaign. Through the collaboration of Cobb and Marietta schools enough food was collected to provide Thanksgiving food boxes to nearly
1,500 Cobb County families in need!
Rocky Mount Elementary is STILL the #1 First in Math school for the state of Georgia!!! Our 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students have earned over 580,000 stickers. How do students earn stickers you might ask? Well, a student has to solve three problems correctly to earn one sticker. So….drum roll please…..our students have solved over 1,740,000 problems!!! Now THAT is impressive! We will continue our First in Math challenges and are looking forward to setting and achieving higher goals each week!
