Hello Rocky Mount Family : )

Well, I have to tell you how VERY excited we are about a new adventure started this year at Rocky Mount- THE Rocky Mount Parent University!!!! I realized very early on that one of the most powerful assests we have at Rocky Mount are our very talented and interested parents. Our challenge, as a school, was trying to figure out a way to provide background knowledge and support to our parent community as we all work to ensure our students are the most successful group of students IN THE WORLD!!!! As a school, we tried a few different things and they were not successful - mainly due to the time committement and planning that was necessary on our part. So, what were we to do?



What's Your Style?

 Thank goodness teachers do not turn off their 'school brains' in the summer! On day in July, Mrs. Bucy stopped by to talk about some ideas she had, and as they say, the rest is history! This summer we pulled togther an incredible and diverse group of staff members and Parent University was founded. I want to take this time to publically thank Tracie Bucy, Katherine Craig, Judy Huguenard, Christine Einertson, Ashelee Fotinakes and Sharon Lightstone for their commitment to this vision.
